GENERAL RULES

Use of the one-way Raceiver is mandatory in all divisions.

RACE LINE-UP (HANDICAPPING) RULES

RACE LINE-UPS: Heat races will be lined up by inverting the previous race's feature finish. Any cars not at the previous race will be added to the tails of the heat races in the order they register on race night.

For example, last week's last place feature finisher will start on the pole of the first heat race. Last week's feature winner will start at the tail of his heat race. Any new cars will be added behind the previous week's top finishers.

The feature will be lined up according to the finish of the heat races.

After the heat races are completed, a "pill" will be drawn to determine the number of cars to be INVERTED FROM EACH HEAT RACE for the feature line-up. The pills are 0, 2, 3, and 4.

A "0" means a "heads-up" start from the heat races. With a "0" draw, the first heat race winner starts on pole for the feature, the second heat race winner starts on the outside of the front row, on back to last place finisher in the final heat starting last in the feature.

The 2, 3, or 4 pill indicates that number of cars from each heat race finish that will be inverted for the feature race starting line-up. (For example, if there were three heat races and the "2" pill is drawn, the top six starting spots would be inverted instead of a straight "heads-up" start. If the "4" pill was drawn, the top twelve starting spots would be inverted.)

As is traditional, race teams will draw for starting spots in the heats on opening night, although the "pill inversion" will be used for the feature line-ups.

Outside touring series such as the Mr. DIRTcar or Lucas Oil series will use their own qualifying and line-up procedures.

CAUTION FLAG RULES

When the caution or red flag is thrown during a race, the race will stay on whatever lap the leader is on ("the lap will be kept") and the field will be lined up according to their running order AT THE TIME OF THE CAUTION.

Cars involved in the incident (or in additional incidents after the caution has flown) will be lined up at the rear of the field in the order they completed the previous green flag lap.

Cars that enter the pit area will join the tail of the field in the order they return from the pit area. Cars that retire from the race will be assigned finishing positions based on their running order on the previously completed lap.

DETAILED EXAMPLE: The leader has completed lap five when two cars tangle. Two more cars, trying to avoid the wreck, slide high off the track. One spins to a stop while the other car loses several spots but returns to the track. Then caution flag comes out.

The race remains on lap five. The field will be lined up according to their running order at the time the caution flag was thrown. The car that lost several spots but did not stop will be lined up according to where he was when the caution flag came out, i.e., he lost several spots before the caution flag came out and will be lined up behind the cars that passed him under green.

The two cars in the original tangle and the third car that spun and stopped will be sent to the tail of the field and lined up in the order they completed the previous lap under green.
